''Nephrol Dial Transplant'' 22(1):272–5.〕 Hereditary gelsolin amyloidosis has originally been reported by Finnish ophthalmologist Jouko Meretoja and is known as Meretoja syndrome or Familial Amyloidosis, Finnish type.〔Kiuru S.
